Zakat - Charity

Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam, Zakat translates to mean "Charity". It is compulsory for Muslims before the end of Ramadan to give Zakat to those in need. Zakat is 2.5% of your yearly savings.

If you need help distributing your Zakat, you may do so by donating to Masjid Faidul and the community will assist you.

Sadaqah Fitr

Sadaqah Fitr is a charity taken for the poor a few days before the end of fasting in the Islamic holy month of Ramadan

Each person is to pay $18 for feeding the poor. The $18 represents an average meal.

Example: A family has two parents and 2 children, which is a total of 4 members multiplied by $18 to equal a total of $72.
